CNC MACHINING

Quote machined parts from the drawing, with the working shown

Cycle times from memory. Stock sizes looked up line by line. Customiser reads each drawing, plans and times the operations from cutting data, and prices every part at your machine rates.

Where time is lost

Four problems that slow every quote.

01

Cycle times by feel.

Run times guessed from memory, so two estimators price the same part differently.

02

Stock and material by hand.

Bar and plate sizes, grades and densities looked up for every line of the BOM.

03

Call-outs missed.

A thread, a tight tolerance or a finish note found after the quote went out.

04

Every RFQ waits on one person.

The programmer who knows the machines is also the one quoting, so quotes queue.

What Customiser reads

Five capabilities, one pass.

Drawing and model reading.

Material, stock size, features, threads, tolerances and finishes taken from 2D drawings, and from STEP files on Enterprise.

Operation planning.

Each part gets a routing: saw, mill, turn, drill and tap, deburr, finish and inspect, using the machines in your library.

Times from cutting data.

Setup and cycle times worked out from material cutting groups and feature sizes, with the working shown line by line.

Stock blanks and material cost.

Buyable stock sizes, grades and densities turned into blank weight and material cost per part.

Your rates, quantity breaks.

Every operation costed at your machine and labour rates, with setup spread across each quantity break.

It reads each feature and its size from the drawing, looks up the material's cutting group, and works out setup and cutting time per operation from cutting data. The working is shown on the estimate, so an estimator can check and change any line before the quote goes out.

Yes, on Enterprise. STEP models are read alongside the 2D drawing, so sizes come from the model and tolerances, threads and finish notes come from the print.

Yours. A new workspace starts with labelled starter rates so you can quote on day one, and each rate is replaced as you enter your own machines, labour and overhead.
