Does Customiser work with ECI JobBOSS²?

What does Customiser hand over to JobBOSS²?

The output of a finished quote, not a pile of source documents. That means the structured line items read out of the RFQ, the quantities and material callouts behind them, the labour and process breakdown, and the price an estimator approved. Every figure stays linked to the region of the drawing, spreadsheet or scan it came from, so a number questioned three weeks later can be shown rather than remembered.

It leaves as CSV, as an Excel workbook, as a PDF quote and cost breakdown, or through Customiser's REST API for an installation that would rather pull the record than receive a file. Those four are the entire list, and they are the same four for every system in this section.

How does that land in JobBOSS²?

ECI's own product documentation states that JobBOSS² integrates with many third-party systems, some through an API and some via flat file, and it documents a public API alongside its CADLink integration. Those are the two doors, and a Customiser handoff uses whichever one a given installation already has open.

Behind that door, quoting in JobBOSS² runs on pre-set rates covering burden, labour, quantity breaks, setup, run and cycle time, outside services and sales commission, and a quote converts into a sales or work order directly. The structured result therefore does not sit in a holding area; it arrives where the estimator already works and follows the same route to an order that a hand-built estimate would.

What does the shop still own?

JobBOSS² stays the system of record. Scheduling, job costing, inventory and everything downstream of a won quote keep running exactly where they run today, and Customiser writes to none of them on its own initiative.

The estimator keeps the approval. Nothing exports until a person has checked the extraction against the source document and accepted the price, so the ERP never receives a figure nobody has looked at. The rates and standards that produced that figure stay in the shop's own tenant.

What this integration is not

It is not a certified partnership, a listed integration or an endorsement. ECI publishes an integrations page for JobBOSS², and Customiser is not on it. What is described here is built from the export formats above and the routes ECI documents, scoped for a specific shop during onboarding rather than installed from a catalogue.

JobBOSS² also appears in the Customiser comparison section, where it is assessed as a quoting tool in its own right. Both descriptions hold at once: it is a job shop ERP with quoting built into it, and it is a system a Customiser quote can be handed to. Which one matters depends on whether a shop is deciding where quoting should live or connecting what it already runs.
